The 4,000 attendees of the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference received a surprise “token of appreciation” via the U.S. mail in June — a map of all wells drilled in North Dakota’s Bakken petroleum system from 1989 through the end of 2011, plus some select pre-1989 wells.
