Arctic Oil & Gas Directory: URS adds Toews to its team as environmental scientist

URS Corp. said Dec. 5 that it has hired Kathryn Toews for the position of environmental specialist.

Toews has more than three years experience in marine biology and associated field studies. She is skilled in the use of various sampling techniques and data collection processes as well as data analysis and report writing. Toews’ experience in Alaska waters has educated her in the unique requirements and specific species existing in the area. Other fields in which she is knowledgeable include project management, bookkeeping, teaching and graphic design. Her leadership characteristics and a strong attention to detail allow Toews to work well in the field as well as the office. She earned her B.S. in Marine Vertebrate Biology at Stony Brook University.
