A. We are a family owned mat manufacturer and are the world’s largest mat company.

A. Beaumont, Texas; Houston, Texas; Killdeer, North Dakota.

A. Joe Penland Sr.

Q. What is your company’s primary business activity?

A. We sell, rent and install mats.

Q. Are there important projects the company is currently a part of or has done recently?

A. All of our projects are important to us. We treat each with the same attention and focus.

A. We currently have 110 employees.

Q. Describe the equipment your company uses and are there any new equipment purchases planned?

A. Komstsu Fork Lifts, Clark Fork Lifts, used for loading, unloading, and installing mats.

A. We recently opened a location in North Dakota.

A. No, we have been building and installing mats world-wide for 39 years. We have built our business on consistency and quality.

A. Our reputation and the quality we put into our products.

Q. What new markets, clients or projects did your company attract in the last year?

A. The Uticta shale in Ohio, and Marcellus shale Pennsylvania.

Q. What is the most challenging work/contract the company has undertaken? 

A. Installing ten drilling sites for the U.S. Government in a short period of time, for the Nation U.S. Oil Reserves.

Q. What are the biggest obstacles to completing work your company undertakes?

A. Logistics.

A. To maintain our level of business, so we can continue our obligations to our charities and employees.

A. We will be approaching 40 years in business.
